Introducing Mohammad Esfahani
An Artist of Avazino
Singer, composer

Mohammad Mehdi Vaezi, professionally known as Mohammad Esfahani, born on July 5, 1966, is a distinguished Iranian singer and composer in both pop and traditional Persian music and one of the artists associated with Avazino.
Alongside his academic studies in medicine and graduation from Iran University of Medical Sciences in 1997, he pursued his passion for music with dedication. Under the guidance of renowned masters such as Mohammad Reza Shajarian and Ali Jahandar, he developed his knowledge and skills in traditional Persian vocal music. His ability to blend the authenticity of Persian classical music with contemporary pop structures, combined with his distinctive voice and expressive singing style, has become one of the defining characteristics of his artistic identity.
Mohammad Esfahani began his professional music career in 1994 by performing the theme song for the television series “Avaye Fakhteh.” He subsequently performed more than 15 theme songs for television series and feature films, establishing himself as one of the most recognizable voices in Iranian film and television music. Among his notable works in this field are the theme songs for “Velayate Eshgh,” “Armaghane Tariki,” “Ye Tekke Zamin,” “Zire Hasht,” “Ta Soraya,” “Masoomiate Az Dast Rafteh,” and “Pahlevanan Nemimirand.”
Throughout his professional career, he has released 14 music albums and collaborated with prominent Iranian composers and musicians, including Homayoun Khorram, Babak Bayat, and Fereydoun Shahbazian. Albums such as “Hasrat,” “Noon o Dalghak,” “Tanha Mandam,” “Al-Noor,” and “Velayate Eshgh” are among the most significant works in his discography. The album “Noon o Dalghak,” in particular, earned a special place in the history of Iranian pop music due to its socially conscious themes and widespread public reception.
In addition to his albums and television soundtracks, Mohammad Esfahani has released several popular songs, including “Oje Aseman,” “Havamo Nadashti,” “Zire Baroon,” “Armaghane Tariki,” and “Khiyale Ashena.” These works, characterized by emotional melodies, meaningful lyrics, and his distinctive vocal performances, have played an important role in expanding his popularity and establishing a lasting connection with Iranian music audiences.
Over the course of his artistic career, Mohammad Esfahani has received a First-Class Artistic Certificate in Traditional Iranian Vocal Music, one of the highest professional artistic distinctions in Iran. His achievements also include being named Best Pop Singer of the 2000s by Taraneh Mah magazine and receiving the Best Television Theme Song Singer Award in 2012 from the Musicema Awards.
Drawing on his extensive musical knowledge, his ability to perform both classical and contemporary Persian compositions, and his collaborations with distinguished composers, Esfahani has developed a unique artistic identity within Iranian music. His careful selection of meaningful poetry, commitment to high-quality music production, and dedication to preserving the authenticity of Persian musical traditions while embracing innovation are among the defining features of his professional career.
Mohammad Esfahani is among the artists associated with Avazino Cultural and Artistic Institute, under the management of Hassan Ardestani, as part of his professional artistic collaborations.
With several decades of professional experience, a remarkable collection of enduring musical works, collaborations with leading figures in Iranian music, and numerous artistic achievements, Mohammad Esfahani has established a distinguished position in contemporary Iranian music.
